Comprehensive Smile Refresh

At Complete Dentistry in Trophy Club, your journey to a beautiful smile starts with a comprehensive cleaning to remove tartar and plaque, polish away stains, and leave your smile gleaming and white. For most people, professional cleaning is needed every six months. No matter how carefully and thoroughly you brush and floss, dental plaque, and tartar can develop on the teeth' surfaces, lodged below the gum line, opening the door to decay. Let us help you smile with confidence, knowing your smile is bright, fresh, and healthy.

Types of teeth cleaning What’s right for you?

At Complete Dentistry, your teeth cleaning process will reflect the current condition of your teeth and gums. The mouth is home to thousands of types of bacteria, some of which, if not removed, will lead to tooth decay, pain, and the potential for tooth loss and gum disease. As the bacteria flourish in dental plaque and tartar, it is imperative that these substances are regularly and thoroughly removed. Several types of teeth cleanings are available, including:

Standard teeth cleaning

This process involves removing plaque and tartar from the teeth, front, back, and sides, and just below the gum line. This standard cleaning should occur every six months, and more often for patients who are experiencing the symptoms of developing gum disease.

Advanced teeth cleaning

For patients who have not had a professional teeth cleaning for many  years, the removal of plaque and tartar may require a specialized tool to ensure it is removed from the teeth thoroughly.

Scaling and root planing

This type of teeth cleaning is more comprehensive and is considered a “deep cleaning.” If you are suffering from the symptoms of gum disease, such as receding gums, this procedure may be advised. In this cleaning, the plaque and tartar are removed both from the teeth, and in the pockets that have developed below the gum line, between tooth and gum. Root planing involves smoothing rougher surfaces of the tooth roots which helps to ensure the gums can once again attach to the teeth, without tooth pockets.

A dentist to last us a lifetime!

My husband and I received fabulous care from Dr. David Crumpton and his entire staff. Dr. Crumpton is highly trained, has 20+ years of experience in dentistry and it shows! He takes quality time with patients to make sure you understand your current dental health, makes only needed recommendations to improve your dental health, and is very kind and personable. Dr. Crumpton’s dental hygienists, receptionist/front desk and insurance staff are experts in their areas. We had no pain during our cleanings because the hygienists are so cautious about taking her needs into account while also being very thorough. I would highly recommend this office to anyone for dental care and oral surgeries, braces, etc. They do it all! We will definitely be back and have found a dentist to last us a lifetime! Thank you, Dr. Crumpton!

Dr. Crumpton is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. Staff is wonderful, friendly and I have never been in pain when I am there. Anytime you are uncomfortable they will help in some way to make it better. I would suggest him to anyone who needs an amazing dentist, but especially anyone who has a fear of being hurt.
